After spending all winter in their stalls, the cows finally get to go outside again when spring arrives. The cows can once again enjoy the fresh tender pasture grass.
Boeren Lentekaas is made the first meadow milk of spring. The young meadow grass makes the milk of these cows even creamier, resulting in delicious full creamy and soft Spring cheeses.
The Boeren Lentekaas in our assortment comes from South Holland Berkenwoude. Berkenwoude is a village in the municipality of Krimpenerwaard, which belongs to the region Stolwijk. Here the cheeses are handmade according to traditional recipe from daily fresh milk from the farm.
Serving Boeren Lentekaas
Boeren Lentekaas is perfect for on bread. Of course, it is also possible to use the cheese in various hot dishes. It is also very nice to serve during a drink or just to eat on the go.
Note: Boeren Lentekaas is a real seasonal treat and therefore limited in availability. So be there in time.
