Young matured cheese
The young mature cheeses in our range are made from 100% meadow milk. In our maturing house, the young cheeses ripen for more than 8 to 10 weeks. They have slightly more flavour than a young cheese, but remain deliciously fresh and mild in taste.
Young mature cheese is most often used as a spread on bread, but is also delicious to enjoy with drinks on a beautiful Dutch cheeseboard!
Healthy properties of young mature cheese
Our young mature cheese is rich in vitamins A, B and D. These vitamins ensure a good metabolism and strong bones. Young mature cheese is healthier than old cheese, because it has had less time to 'dry out' and there is still moisture in the cheese.
The moisture in the cheese contains no fat and therefore young mature cheese contains less fat than an old cheese. This does not mean that young mature cheese is any less delicious, as it is still wonderfully creamy and full of flavour!
