Just before the cows go back into their stalls for the cold winter months, they give the very last pasture milk of the year. The milk is still full and gives the cheeses a delicious full creamy taste. Cheeses made from this last load of milk have therefore been aptly named Autumn Cheese.
The Boeren Herfstkaas in our assortment comes from Berkenwoude in South Holland. The village of Berkenwoude belongs to the Stompwijk region, which is known for its flavorful Boerenkazen. There, our farmers autumn cheeses are made exclusively from daily fresh milk and are made by hand according to a traditional recipe.

De weidevogelkaas is een biologische jong belegen kaas van ongeveer 10 weken oud, met een frisse en volle romige smaak. Bastiaansen Biologische Kaas heeft in samenwerking met Vogelbescherming Nederland een speciale weidevogelkaas ontwikkeld.
