The autumn cheese
Just before the cows go back into their stalls for the cold winter months, they still give the very last pasture milk of the year. The milk is still full and gives the cheeses a delicious full creamy taste. Cheeses made from this last load of milk are therefore aptly named Autumn Cheese.
The Farmers' Autumn Cheese in our range comes from the South Holland village of Berkenwoude. The village of Berkenwoude belongs to the region of Stompwijk, which is known for its tasty Farmers' Cheeses. There, our Farmer's autumn cheeses are made exclusively from daily fresh milk and are made by hand according to a traditional recipe.
