Leerdammer
Leerdammer is probably the best-known hole cheese of The Netherlands. The taste of this cheese is mild, sweet and slightly nutty. The taste of Leerdammer is similar to the well-known Emmentaler to some extent, although Leerdammer has a slightly rounder taste.
The sweet nutty taste of Leerdammer increases with age.
Leerdammer is delicious on bread at lunch or breakfast. The cheese is also excellent as a processed cheese. Use Leerdammer for sandwiches or incorporate it into fondue.
