For our grated Parmesan or Parmesan cheese, we have a delicious Grana Padano in our range. This delicious cheese is often confused with Parmigiano Reggiano. Both cheeses belong to the Grana family. Which refers to the grainy structure of these cheeses.
Grana Padano further owes its name to the area where it is produced. The Po Valley, this area is called Val Padano in Italian. The cheeses are additionally produced in a large area in the north of Italië.
This delicious Parmesan is aged for a minimum of 18 months which gives it a delicious robust flavour.
Processing grated Grana Padano
Our Grana Padano has a long shelf life and can be used for many applications. It is perfect for use in risotto and various pasta dishes. This grated variety is also delicious as a garnish for a salad, for example. As it is already grated, you do not need to do any additional handling and the cheese is ready to serve immediately!
