Rustique is a French white rind cheese, similar in taste to the well-known Camembert. The cheese may not officially be called Camembert, because a real Camembert must be smaller. However, the Le Grand Rustique is still known as camembert to most people thanks to its almost similar taste.
The rind of these cheeses are thinly coated with the white cheese mold Pencicillium Camemberti. When the cheese is cut, the dairy goes flush. The taste of this delicious cheese is best described as a robust cheese with a Intens character.
