Bastiaanse weidevogel belegen
De weidevogelkaas is een biologische belegen kaas van ongeveer 16 weken oud, met een pittige en volle romige smaak. Deze kaas is niet alleen smakelijk, maar ook bedoeld om het leefgebied van weidevogels te beschermen. Bastiaansen Biologische Kaas heeft in samenwerking met Vogelbescherming Nederland een speciale weidevogelkaas ontwikkeld.
Ambachtelijk en vol van smaak
De melk voor deze kaas wordt geproduceerd door boeren uit de omgeving van Rouveen, waar ook de kaasmakerij gevestigd is. Deze boeren zorgen ervoor dat hun land wordt ingericht volgens weidevogelbeheer, waarbij een deel van hun land wordt vrijgelaten voor weidevogels om te nestelen en hun jongen groot te brengen. De koeien grazen op weiden vol kruiden en bloemen, wat bijdraagt aan de smaak en kwaliteit van de melk.
Door deze aanpak ondersteunt Bastiaansen Biologische Kaas het behoud van weidevogels en draagt de kaas bij aan duurzame en milieuvriendelijke landbouwpraktijken.
